BlackCat Veterinary Care is equipped to provide preventative care services and individualized home medical care for your animals. Services offered in the home include routine wellness checks, vaccinations, cytology, deworming, and guidance for cooperative care, as well as medical management of chronic disease processes and palliative care options. Dr. Fay partners with local clinics, where her patients can receive comprehensive blood, urine, and fecal testing, as well as diagnostic imaging and surgical care when indicated. We offer consultations on myriad topics ranging from nutrition and behavior to managing multiple medical conditions and compassionate end-of-life care.

 Nutritional Consults to guide pet parents in meeting their creature's dietary needs for optimal growth, weight maintenance, and overall health. Diet plans can be individualized for weight loss or weight gain as needed.

Behavioral Consultations to address problematic behavior such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling, resource guarding, and aggression. Dr. Fay received her Masters of Science in Animal Behavior and offers years of experience with cooperative care, behavioral modification, and veterinary psychopharmacology. Dr. Fay works closely with a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist and is willing to offer many behavioral health services in the home. Please note that Dr. Fay is not a board-certified veterinary behaviorist, and she will refer more complicated cases to a veterinary behaviorist.

We are happy to see Exotic Companion Animals and offer routine wellness care and preventative services such as physical exams, nutrition and husbandry review, body condition scoring, and oral examinations. We will ask you give detailed information about your exotic pet prior to your appointment.

BlackCat Veterinary Care provides second opinions for Medical Diagnoses in addition to helping create, elucidate, or adapt treatment plans for medical conditions in our familiars. We are comfortable treating many acute and chronic conditions, and are happy to discuss drug-free or alternative care options where appropriate.

We are pleased to provide in-house Cytology Services such as skin scrapes, fine-needle aspirates, impression smear and blood smear analysis, allowing us to examine samples under a microscope to evaluate skin lesions and potentially provide definitive diagnosis for cutaneous masses.

Our practice maintains an inventory of topical and oral medications for common conditions, including Flea, Tick, and Heartworm Preventatives, and Prescription diets. We have a passion for keeping animals comfortable in their golden years. We offer hospice and palliative care as well as home euthanasia and end-of-life services for your beloved creatures.
